EARLY INTERVENTION

ACCESS Youth Summer Programs strive to teach at-risk juveniles alternatives to violence and crime while nurturing their potential as individuals. By developing and tailoring curriculum for police diversion programs and community organizations, ACCESS Youth engages juveniles in conversations about identity, trust, communication, respect, future planning, self-awareness, and relationships. Building on these conversations, ACCESS Youth Summer Programs teach conflict management principles and provide juveniles with the tools they need to engage in alternative dispute resolution.

Diverse programming incorporates:

  • Active Games
  • Artistic Expressions
  • Classroom Activities
  • Group Dialogue
  • Media
  • Roleplays

ACCESS Youth Summer Program goals include:

  • Increasing scholastic achievement
  • Teaching alternatives to violence and crime

  • Challenging beliefs and opening minds
  • Learning from each other

ACCESS Youth Summer Programs give at-risk juveniles the opportunity to explore, understand, express, and challenge themselves. By opening their eyes and challenging their beliefs, ACCESS Youth opens their hearts and dares them to imagine a world without limitations.
